SUBJECT:    WILLAMETTE VALLEY OPEN BURN ANNOUNCEMENT

TO:         DEQ, OEM

Open Burn Announcement for Wednesday, August 15th, 2012

SPECIAL NOTE:  Fire Marshal Conditions may be met this afternoon.  (See Below)

Agricultural burning:
  Based on air quality considerations agricultural burning
  is not recommended.

Backyard burning inside special control areas:
  Backyard burning is not allowed from Jun 16th through Sep 30th.

Individuals must contact their local fire department for specific information.

Fire Marshal Conditions:

  Pregpm Administrative Rule 837-110-0090:
  
  All field burning shall be banned when any two fo the following criteria are present:
  (1)  Temperature of 95 degrees Fahrenheit of above;
  (2)  Relative humidity of 30 percent or below;
  (3)  Wind speed of 15 miles per hour or higher.
