SUBJECT:    WILLAMETTE VALLEY OPEN BURN ANNOUNCEMENT

Schedule change:  Until further notice, the Willamette Valley Open Burn Announcement will be issued each weekday morning by 7:30am. Announcements for Saturday and Sunday will be issued Friday afternoons except when the ODF weather office is staffed on the weekends.  On those occasions the Saturday and Sunday announcements will also be issued on the morning of the valid day for that announcement.  Questions? Open Burn Announcement for Thursday, March 15th, 2012

Agricultural burning:
  Based on air quality considerations recommend agricultural burning
  be limited to the period 8:00am to 5:30pm.

Backyard burning inside special control areas:
  Based on air quality considerations backyard burning is allowed 
  from 8:00am to 5:30pm.

Individuals must contact their local fire department for specific information.
