SUBJECT:    WILLAMETTE VALLEY OPEN BURN ANNOUNCEMENT

Note:  Due to the state government furlough day scheduled for Friday,
       March 23rd, this announcement was issued on Thursday, March 22nd.

Open Burn Announcement for Friday, March 23rd, 2012

Agricultural burning:
  Based on air quality considerations recommend agricultural burning
  be limited to the period 10:30am to 5:30pm.

Backyard burning inside special control areas:
  Based on air quality considerations backyard burning is allowed 
  from 10:30am to 5:30pm.

Individuals must contact their local fire department for specific information.
