Open Burn Announcement for Monday, May 7th, 2012



Salem Northward:

Agricultural burning:
  Based on air quality considerations recommend agricultural burning
  be limited to the period 8:00am to 6:30pm.

Backyard burning inside special control areas:
  Based on air quality considerations backyard burning is allowed 
  from 8:00am to 6:30pm.



South of Salem:

Agricultural burning:
  Based on air quality considerations recommend agricultural burning
  be limited to the period 3:00pm to 6:30pm.

Backyard burning inside special control areas:
  Based on air quality considerations backyard burning is allowed 
  from 3:00pm to 6:30pm.



Individuals must contact their local fire department for specific information.
