SUBJECT:    WILLAMETTE VALLEY OPEN BURN ANNOUNCEMENT

TO:         DEQ, OEM

Note:  Due to the closer of the ODF weather office on Sunday, May 27th,
       in honor of the Memorial Holiday, Sunday\'s burn announcement is
       being issued this afternoon instead of Sunday morning.  Monday\'s
       burn announcement will be issued Monday morning (normal time).

Open Burn Announcement for Sunday, May 27th, 2012

Agricultural burning:
  Based on air quality considerations recommend agricultural burning
  be limited to the period 9:00am to 7:00pm.

Backyard burning inside special control areas:
  Based on air quality considerations backyard burning is allowed 
  from 9:00am to 7:00pm.

Individuals must contact their local fire department for specific information.
