SUBJECT:    WILLAMETTE VALLEY OPEN BURN ANNOUNCEMENT

TO:         DEQ, OEM

Open Burn Announcement for Wednesday, August 21st, 2013

Agricultural burning:
  North of Salem:  Based on air quality considerations recommend agricultural burning
  be limited to the period 11:00am to 6:00pm.

  South of Salem:  Based on air quality considerations burning is not recommended.

Backyard burning inside special control areas:
  Backyard burning is not allowed from Jun 16th through Sep 30th.

Individuals must contact their local fire department for specific information.
