SUBJECT:    WILLAMETTE VALLEY OPEN BURN ANNOUNCEMENT

**************** Air Stagnation Advisory Information ***************

The National Weather Service has issued Air Stagnation Advisories for the
greater Portland area and for the central and southern Willamette Valley;
including Salem and Eugene beginning 6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24th.
The advisory for the Portland area will continue at least through 1 p.m.
Friday, December 27th, while the advisory for the Willamette Valley extends
at least through 10 p.m. Sunday, December 29th.

Open Burn Announcement for Wednesday, December 25th, 2013

Agricultural burning:
  Based on air quality considerations agricultural burning is not recommended.

Backyard burning inside special control areas:
  Backyard burning is not allowed from Dec 16th through Feb 29th.

Individuals must contact their local fire department for specific information.
