SUBJECT:    WILLAMETTE VALLEY OPEN BURN ANNOUNCEMENT

Open Burn Announcement for Tuesday, September 10th, 2013

Agricultural burning north of Salem:
  Based on air quality considerations recommend agricultural burning be limited to the period from
  noon to 5:30 p.m.

Agricultural burning from Salem south:
  Based on air quality considerations agricultural burning is not recommended.

Backyard burning inside special control areas:
  Backyard burning is not allowed from Jun 16th through Sep 30th.

Individuals must contact their local fire department for specific information.
