SUBJECT:    WILLAMETTE VALLEY OPEN BURN ANNOUNCEMENT

TO:         DEQ, OEM

Open Burn Announcement for Friday, January 17th, 2014

Agricultural burning:
  Based on air quality considerations recommend agricultural burning be limited to the period
  from 10:00am to 3:00pm for areas north of a Canby-Yamhill line.

  For areas south of a Canby-Yamhill line, based on air quality considerations recommend no agriculture burning. 

Backyard burning inside special control areas:
  Backyard burning is not allowed from Dec 16th through Feb 29th.

Individuals must contact their local fire department for specific information.
